Triple Nomination for Accelar at The Innovation Awards
Accelar is proud to share that both as a company and individually, we have received three separate shortlisting nominations for The Innovation Awards. The Innovation Awards recognise, celebrate and reward the businesses, organisations and individuals who are dedicated to innovation.
As an organisation, Accelar has been shortlisted for the Sustainability Innovator of the Year award. This award recognises companies who are innovating to make their business and their products or services more sustainable. Co-Founder and Managing Director Chris Fry has been shortlisted in the Male Innovator of the Year category, which recognises men bringing innovation to their business, employers, clients and/or industry.
Additionally, Accelar’s Senior Analytical Consultant Michael Smith has been nominated for the Young Innovator of the Year Award, which recognises individuals supporting ground-breaking innovation in a company or industry.
The nominations are in recognition of Accelar’s digitally-enabled work in sustainability, built environment and green finance sectors, in particular the development and delivery of the Nature Finance Impact Hub. Using data sourced from the public domain as well as projects submitted directly, the Hub aims to help build market confidence in nature-positive projects by pinpointing their financial and environmental benefits. By collating this data, Accelar hopes to begin to addressing the nature finance gap, which is currently estimated by the Green Finance Institute to be around £44-97 billion, through providing detailed information on nature-positive projects with the aim of improving access to and awareness of sustainable revenue generation. There are now over 50 projects in the Hub, detailing nature-positive metrics from 14 different ecosystems. Read more about some of the trends and insights we have noticed so far here.
