Accelar nominated for Sustainable Scale-Up Business of the Year Award too!
Accelar is delighted to share that it has successfully received a shortlist nomination for the Scale-Up Awards, in the Sustainable Scale-Up Business of the Year category. Organised by Business Leader in collaboration with the ScaleUp Institute, the awards are a dynamic celebration of business achievement and growth across 15 different categories. The Sustainable Scale-Up Business of the Year award recognises Accelar’s active engagement in shaping its numerous client’s green strategies and enhancing their realisation and project implementation. Plus the development of the company and its own sustainability performance over the past three years as an integral part of the growth of the business.
Over the last year Accelar has created new trailblazing propositions and helped to catalyse action in five areas: harnessing green finance, decarbonisation towards net zero, mobilising a circular economy, improving climate resilience and enabling nature recovery. This includes the creation and launch of the Nature Finance Impact Hub in time for the international climate change talks at COP26, helping to build market confidence in nature-positive projects by pinpointing their financial and environmental benefits. Within the infrastructure sector, Accelar was involved in the Innovate UK and DfT funded TIES Living Lab project, taking a role to help transport infrastructure clients and their supply chains to harness data for benchmarking carbon and environmental performance.
Accelar has also been delivering a new clean growth and net zero proposition for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), on behalf of the EM3 Growth Hub as part of the Enterprise M3 Local Enterprise Partnership serving most of Hampshire and Surrey. Accelar created a bespoke two stage proposition for businesses to help them to make tangible progress towards net zero and seeing opportunities from the green transition. The proposition is based around the team’s own BRIGHT transition model and relevant open access resources for SMEs. Further to this, Accelar has been appointed by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and the Construction Leadership Council as a Co2nstructZero business champion, and is a member organisation for the Get Nature Positive initiative and Pledge to Net Zero.
It is an honour to have been recognised for our work enabling sustainable growth across various sectors as we have scaled up, it has always been important to founders Chris and Charlene that the company grew sustainably and in a way that is purpose-driven in this critical decade.
